Howl-a-Day Cookies for all my Fur-ends!

Hewoo Every doggie!

I hope everyone had a Happy Howl-a-Day!  I wanted to share with woo all that Momma and I made Christmas Cookies for all my Fur-ends!  We had so much fun mixing the dough, rolling it out and cutting it into doggie shapes (ok, well Momma did all that and I watched)

First she mixed up all the dough, then she rolled it out... and she used a doggie shaped cookie cutter to make the cookies

Then she baked them in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes

Are they kewl yet? I can't wait to taste one!

Nom! Nom! Nom! Mmmmmm! These are good!

I make a good taste tester!

Once we had them all baked and kewl, we put them in pretty little boxes for all my fur-ends.

Momma and I made LOTS and LOTS of cookies becuz I have LOTS and LOTS of fur-ends!!

If you would like the res-sip-pee - here it is - all my fur-ends loved the cookies - they awl said they are dee-lish-us!

Peanut Butter Doggie Cookies

2 cups wheat flour
1 cup rolled (or steel cut) oats
1/3 cup all natural (no sugar added!) Peanut Butter
1 1/4 cup warm water

Mix dry ingredients together, then add water - mix and roll out to 1/4 inch thickness  - cut into shapes
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes

Be sure to refrigerate any left overs if you don't lap them up within 3-4 days.  Freeze them if you wanna keep them longer

Lexi's word of the day - "Responsibility"

Hewoo all you doggies out there! I hope you are all having a wonderful Howl-a-day season.

Becawz I am helping Momma become a writer, and my bloggies name is called "Lexi's Lexicon" I thawt it would be fun to learn new words!

The word of the day today is Responsibility

The Hooman definition of Responsibility is:

re·spon·si·bil·i·ty

noun, plural -ties.
1. the state or fact of being responsible.
2. an instance of being responsible: The responsibility for this mess is yours!
3. a particular burden of obligation upon one who is responsible: the responsibilities of authority.
4. a person or thing for which one is responsible: A child is a responsibility to its parents.
5. reliability or dependability, especially in meeting debts or payments.

The Doggie Definition of the word responsibility is a vow to always love me - to always make sure I have a warm bed, fresh water to drink, plenty of food to eat, trips to the bet to keep me healthy, and to give me the same unconditional love that I will always give you - even if I get naughty and pee on the carpet or chew your favorite pair of shoes.  It means to take me for walks, play with me, and keep me company.  Being responsible for your pet means to give him or her proper training, guidance, love and support.  We should be treated as part of the family.  That is what being a responsible Dog-ma means.

I know that many hoomans want to make the Howl-a-days very special for their children, and may be considering putting a cute puppy under the tree.  I mean, we are cute as puppies... so its hard to resist - especially when you are walking through the shopping malls and see all the cute little puppies in the store front windows.  But I must sit up and beg... pweeeze  pweeze don't buy when bootiful shelter dogs (like me) die.

I was adopted from a rescue, and because I came from a loving, caring (responsible!)  rescue - I got all my shots, behavior training, and passed a good citizen test before Momma even got me.  She knew when she got me, all she would have to do is continue to be responsible to me, and I would be a good dog.  Woof!

So pweeeeze... if you are thinking about adding to your family this Howl-a-day and getting a puppy - please ADOPT.... and before you even consider that, please do lots of research on what breed would be best for you and your family, and make sure you are ready to be a responsible hooman to your new pet.

Loves and Licks!
